Amazing experience
Rooms: Clean, comfortable
I liked that they offer a shuttle from the airport, note that the shuttle back to the airport is not included and it has a price of $10 per person, even so, t it is conveniently close to the airport, about 15 minutes. The thing that bothered me the most was the size of the room we were given, we couldn't almost walk around the room. The bathroom was decent and it had shower/shampoo soap and you can request anything you forgot to bring to the front desk. It doesn't have a restaurant for dinner, there is one close by but we were so tired that venturing outside the hotel was not enticing at all. In conclusion, decent economic option for an overnight stay to catch a flight.
The staff were very accommodating to our large family (eight total). I would certainly recommend it. Only issue was the distance from the airport, and lack availability of airport pickup service . Perhaps a reservation system for that service would be advisable. Breakfast was great.

Very good and clean rooms, service good but not present overnight in low season, taxis take you from the resort gate to the safari gate. Rooms: Very modern, clean, with good beds and duvets, small kitchenette. Nearby activities: Safari, pool,.. Safety: Well guarded. Food & drinks: Not tested
The breakfast had a very nice layout, but the quality of the food could have been better, I.e.,, the scrambled eggs, meets and cheese.
Das Hotek ist durch die Nähe zum Flughafen stark besucht aber die Zimmer sind sauber und auch gut isoliert. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lediglich die Kostenlose Parkplätze sind meist belegt und entsprechend kommen noch Parkplatz Kosten die dich hoch sind hinzu

The rooms are clean and the bed was so comfy, oh and the pillows are the best. We initially booked a double room and we were able to upgrade to a self catering unit without a hassle. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful design, but the shower setup is awkward. I really loved the location and the overall design of the resort—it's beautiful. However, management should really relook at the shower design. The showerhead is fixed very high up on the ceiling, and the water angle cannot be adjusted to the guest's needs. Because the water pours straight down from the roof, you have to awkwardly tilt your head the entire time if you don't want the water hitting you directly over your head. It would be a much better experience if guests could adjust the shower water angle to their preference.
Dinning area is beautiful but cold. Fire places installed are too small for that size of a place... Place is great

Exceeded our expectations, this was our 4th visit and best holiday yet! The facilities and activities for the family is just incredible. So much to do for all ages! The heated pool in June was a nice surprise. The accommodation feels 7 star! We will be back very soon.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Preis/Leistung ist TOP. Ganz tolles Frühstück: frisch und sauber, immer aufgefüllt, für Kids eine Pancake-Maschine, leckerer Kaffee. Auf dem Zimmer gibt es einen Wasserkocher. Ausreichend Steckdosen und USB Anschlüsse für Ladegeräte. Gute Schallisolierung. Man hört durch Fenster und Wände nichts.

This was not among the top Holiday Inn Express locations I have stayed at. The air conditioning did not work well and the room was too warm for comfortable sleeping. Parking was 20 Euros a night extra; the hotel shuttle was 10 Euros a person. The staff was pleasant and the location is good for easy airport access. The price is lower than most of the alternatives. I probably would not choose it again.
The only concern I have is with the room/unit cleaning service. On several occasions, the cleaners only arrived to clean the unit after 11:30 AM, and this continued for three consecutive days. This caused inconvenience and affected the overall experience. I would appreciate it if the cleaning schedule could be improved to ensure timely service.
Perfect for a short stay near Frankfurt airport. Nice small but very functional, modern, clean rooms with coffee maker, ours should have better = more lighting, other rooms were brighter. Good beds, two single beds per room. Safe parking available for a fee. Friendly staff. Very Good breakfast included. Hotel has a bar that also serves some food and lots of vending machines. It’s conveniently located right next to the freeway but pretty quiet. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Shuttle from Airport free, to the Airport 10 Euros, reserve in advance!

Wir waren eine Nacht vor unserm Abflug. Preis/Leistung top. Nur sind die Zimmer schon sehr klein wenn man mit zwei Teenagern reist. Beim Frühstück habe ich das Rührei vermisst.

Sehr sauber Zimmer waren tadellos und modern. Zwar etwas laut in der Lobby aber dafür war gut besucht und ein sehr reichhaltiges und gutes Frühstücksangebot im Preis enthalten. Leider hätte man die Parkgebühr für eine Nacht von 20€ etwas besser im buchungsportal erwähnen können. Ansonsten top👍

Staff was friendly upon arrival, checked in right away. We were surprised on how well they handled a huge group of soccer tournament families. Not to mention, how quiet the night went with all the kids. We were not part of it, but thought oh no, this could be problematic in getting sleep for an early morning flight. Thankfully, We didn’t hear anything!! Very happy about that! The airport is close by!

My friends and I based ourselves here for a few nights whilst we were visiting the Pilanesberg National Park. Not far from Bakubung Gate, so easy to get into the park first thing in the morning. The service and friendliness of the staff in the restaurant was excellent - particularly Thambi who gave us such a warm welcome in the evenings and was always interested in what we had done that day. A very good choice of hot and cold food from the buffet, as well as freshly cooked pizza and braai meat every evening. Delicious and good value!! Breakfast wasn't included in the rate but we were off to the park, so didn't get to see what this was like. Chalet was clean and comfortable - and the shower was very spacious. We were also able to sit outside on our terrace and enjoy the peace in the evenings. Parking is right in front of the chalet with a short walk to the door.

The place is beautiful. The staff are friendly. There are many stray cats though and they are quite aggressive about trying to get into the chalets and steal food. The heated pool is probably the best part. Amenities are well maintained
I absolutely loved the staff – they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The resort itself is beautiful, and I especially enjoyed the warm and cool pools, which made the experience even more relaxing. The location is fantastic, being so close to Sun City about 5 mins drive, veerryy nice. I also got to visit attractions like the Upside Down House - which was about an hour and 30 mins, including traffic and stop and go... More importantly, also appreciated the variety of activities offered by the resort. The staff that facilitated those activities were lovely and patient. Even though I travelled solo, I had such an enjoyable and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Ich kann dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war fantastisch. Karolina, die Frühstücksbedienung, war stets hilfsbereit. Auch das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Einziger Nachteil: die hohen Parkgebühren. Sollte ich jemals wieder in der Gegend sein, werde ich definitiv wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.

Came with high expectations of the resort. The chalet was fantastic and the amenities were great. Staff helpful. The big fire game drive was excellent. What lets down the resort is the shambles that is the restaurant. The website advertises a nice restaurant with a great menu but is never open when you want it. Was open for lunch on weekends but not weekdays. Only served buffet food in the evening. So not sure is the point. None of this is on the website or on the menu. The restaurant looked like it was fully staff but it baffled me why so many s. If you want lunch during the week it’s the takeout by the water park. Bring your own food and braai or budget for eating out at Sun City (Use the shuttle bus) The restaurant issue is a reoccurring theme on reviews on trip advisor and seems platitudes are made by the owners but not addressed. Shame as we would have happily eaten every night of our stay in the restaurant. Perhaps something small could be done with having correct information on the website, at check in or even on the menu.

Durch eine lockere Duschstange in der Dusche hat sich mein Mann eine Verletzung am Schienbein zugezogen. Diese wurde vom Mitarbeiter dokumentiert und uns zugesagt, dass sich nach dem Wochenende jemand bei uns hierzu meldet. Auch während unseres Urlaubes rief niemand an und es kam keine Email, obwohl wir unsere Kontaktdaten hinterlassen haben. Nach unserem Urlaub schrieb ich einen Email und es wurde zugesagt, dass man mit einem Feedback auf uns zukommt. Bislang nichts. Ich mag mir gar nicht vorstellen, was hätte passieren können, wenn meine kleine Tochter von der Stange getroffen wäre.

If you're going to Pilanesburg chances are you want to go on a safari drive. The downside with the kingdom is that the drives are only allowed for I believe age 6 and up which is a problem if you're going with young kids. The facilities are great, modern, and there is a lot of activities for young kids. Choice of pools as well, including a warm pool which my kids loved. Overall a positive experience, but again if you want to see animals on a game drive I'd stay elsewhere (thank you Kwa maritane for providing a great safari experience!)
The resort is conveniently located and just a few minutes to Sun city, the major attraction in the province. Employee's understand the principles of service excellence. Rooms are spacious and homely.

I only spent 1 night but wished it was longer to really explore. I absolutely loved the room, the cleanliness and just the tranquility. I will go again and do a full review.

Within minutes of both Pilansberg park and Sun City, this place is very well located. It has great facilities. Tge only negative is that only one of the restaurants is open each night. The night we were there was the buffet restaurant and there was no ala carte. However, apart from that, the Kingdom is faultless and a great place to stay.

We love the kingdom resort. So much fun for the kids with the waterside, for the adults with the padel and mini golf. Just 3minutes away from Pilanesburg for amazing sightings.

Everything was excellent. The receptionist lady was very rude and ended up giving us 2 single beds while seeing that we are a couple and my request was clear when booking.

Lots of activities for the whole family
The resort being close to Sun City is an added bonus. I didn't make prior bookings for the spa but the ladies at Body Bliss assisted us on the day. The spa is absolutely beautiful, calm, relaxing and the lady's are very professional.

Whilst the rooms are reasonably priced you are forced to have a choice of ONLY buffet breakfast and dinner at very high prices, especially if you are someone who doesn't eat very much. There are no other options except for lunch so that sends your bill up drastically. That is the catch. There needs to be more options for food for clients who don't eat buffet size meals. Otherwise really enjoyed the place.

Me and family loved everything about the place,the food was exceptional,the cleanliness of the place was amazing,kids were able to enjoy the activities,the staff attitude is amazing,they help with everything they provide information needed,I really cannot fault the kingdom resort except for the restaurant at the bar next to slides,they don’t have hard copy menu,I ordered wings and asked how many are they when they come but the staff was unable to answer,she seemed uninterested and just said she doesn’t know.The food took an hour to come,it was just unpleasant.The restaurant near the entrance is exceptional,from the cleanliness,staff,food ,it was a 10/10.Overall experience was nice and wouldn’t mind coming back and referring friends.

Location is good, and a few minutes drive from Sun City and one of the gates at the Pilanesberg National Park. If you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway, then this is it. Even if you're going on a family vacation, there are lots of facilities for the kids to keep themselves busy. The price was definately value for money.

It was absolutely lovely
Staff is very relaxed while also being helpful, which made us feel very comfortable. Had a blast with our three kids in the pool and doing activities on the resort. We got in several game drives as Pilanesberg gate is 5 minutes away. Restaurant food and service both excellent. Hope we can return.

The complex is primarily designed for holiday stays of South African families with children. Nevertheless, it is quiet here and everyone has their own privacy. The apartments are nicely equipped and clean, the staff at the entrance gate are friendly and helpful, as are the maids and waiters in the restaurant.

Upon arrival the staff was kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel was easy to find and parking was a breeze (note: there is a charge for parking). The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent both for European and US standards. But I want to repeat that the staff was the best. They were so considerate of families and always willing to answer our questions with a smile on their faces.

We stayed for one night on a last-minute booking, so it is difficult to give very detailed feedback on the full resort experience. It appears to be a great resort for families. Overall, we had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is very convenient for visiting Pilanesburg. The resort is large and offers many facilities, though we did not use any during our short visit.
We verbleven hier altijd graag als we Pilanesberg park wilde bezoeken en waren blij met de visuele restaurant update. Echter avondeten in buffet-vorm is showstopper voor ons. En ook nog eens (in verhouding) erg duur. Jammer komen hier nooit meer terug, we willen gewoon ‘s avonds a la carte kunnen eten. Wat een conceptfout, zo jammer! Rooms: Heel ruim en schoon, niets op aan te merken. Food & drinks: Grote afknapper, tenzij je elke avond in buffet-vorm wil eten tegen hoofdprijs.

Sehr gut gelegen, ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto in den Nationalpark, direkt beim Hotel können Game Drives gebucht werden, großes Hotel mit verschiedenen Unterkunftsarten, sehr großes, geräumiges Haus, gut ausgestattet, alles vorhanden, was man für Self Catering benötigt. Reinigung erfolgt täglich, Check-In verlief sehr einfach und schnell. Sehr schöne Beach-Bar, wenn auch die Cocktails nicht so richtig gelingen.
We are on our last night at this resort. It has been a great few days and we will definitely return. We have a 2 bedroom villa with splash pool. The villa is really spacious and both bedrooms have their own bathroom. The kitchen area has everything you need for a self catering stay. Hob, oven, microwave and pots and pans etc. The resort has lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. There is also a heated pool, which is great for my son who feels the cold. The kids pool with the waterslides is fun too. It isnt far from sun city and there is a free shuttle to take you. The Acacia restaurant is really good. The buffet has lots of options, including cooking fresh meat in front of you. It is also good value for money. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

What a lovely stay we had. The kids did not want to leave. Rooms: The rooms are quite adequate & comfortable. Nearby activities: When you run out of activities on the resort you can go to the suncity resort which is very close and other places. Safety: The resort is very safe. Walkability: You can walk but due to the heat during the day it was easier to just drive and there was ample parking all over the resort. Food & drinks: The food was good & the breakfast buffet was packed with many different options. Noteworthy details: Excellent for a long family vacation as many of the activities are scheduled and offered on different days so we missed some of them but we had an amazing time still. The heated pool was just awesome in the evenings when the kids didn't want to leave the pool.

Also there is Sun City and Pilanesberg outside of the resort. Safety: Safety and security is ensured at the resort. Walkability: Places of interest within the resort are all in walking distance. Food & drinks: Food and drinks are offered at their Jungle Bar and their Acacia Table restaurant.

It’s a wonderful place and perfect for families. The rooms are spotless, and the overall atmosphere is excellent. I honestly can’t find any faults. This was my second stay at the resort, and it was great to see that several facilities have been upgraded. The restaurant, in particular, now looks refreshed, modern, and very inviting.

Great experience with friendly and helpful staff! There was an issue with the air on arrival and it was promptly taken care of. Honestly for the price comparing to Sun City Accommodation and the proximity to the Pilanesberg National Park, it’s a super good deal. Overall a great place to stay if you’re heading to that area and really nice amenities (Also the rooms are cleaned immaculately)

Beautiful resort surrounded with scenic mountain views, has amazing accommodation and plenty of activities to partake in within and outside the resort. This resort is definitely underrated, it surpassed our expectations………great value for money and will definitely be coming back. A big shout out to KB our Quad Bike guide………thanks for the experience bruv. Always a big shout out to House Keeping who did an amazing job every day without fail.

The place is as per the advertised photos. Pools all over the place and not to forget the friendly stuff. Theor rooms are cozy and neat too, feels like home but has a hotel vibe.

We particularly appreciated the diverse range of activities offered, and the facilities, including the pools, were maintained in an impeccable condition. Rooms: Rooms are very clean and in great conditions. Nearby activities: This resort is very close to Pilanesberg Safari park and the resort offer several tours to the park with an experienced guide. Safety: It's super safe to wander around the whole park, with enough security and assistance from the staff. Food & drinks: The food and beverage selection is excellent; however, there can be occasional delays in order fulfillment. Enhancing service by providing poolside attendance would be a valuable improvement. Noteworthy details: It's strange that there are no showers available around the pool area.

Sehr schöne Anlage, die wirklich optisch sehr schön gestaltet ist. Es gibt viele tolle Aktivitäten für Kinder. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr sauber und das Personal nett. Leider gibt es bei den Pools nicht richtig Schatten für Babys. Bei den überdachten liegen kommt trotzdem immer Sonne durch. Zusätzlich sind die Betten extrem kurz, sodass ich mit 1,70m gerade so rein gepasst habe. Bei meinem Mann hingen die Füße übers Bett. Es wäre sinnvoll ein Moskitonetz anzubringen, da es extrem viele Stechmücken gibt.

We loved everything about The Kingdom! Our villa was gorgeous, the pool area is great and the staff in the restaurant were fabulous. It was fantastic value for money being so close to Pilensberg National Park. We highly recommend booking a hot air balloon ride and doing a game drive (we did a self drive in our higher car)

An absolutely amazing place and we had an awesome stay. I loved it... The kids loved it, especially the splash kingdom. Only down side was the service at the Jungle Bar/Cafe, they were so slow, they seemed overwhelmed (maybe becausethe 2nd restaurant was under renovation). Overall, it was good, and I would definitely go back.

Beautiful resort and amazing amenities. Room. was clean and well stocked. We were only there for one night but will definitely come back with the kids. The only downside was the mosquitos and no bug spray 😢 other than that everything was perfect and we can’t wait to come back
Enjoyed our 4 days at The Kingdom, staff were very friendly and they have amazing facilities. Ground upkeep we gave a 4 star as there were several bottles and papers next to pathways which is not picked up by staff. Room we also gave a 4.5 as they don’t have separate complimentary shampoo, the bottle is also filled with hand soap and not a good quality shampoo. Other than this we enjoyed our stay, food was great and definitely worth a visit.

Walkability: Not okay to walk at night,it's too dark

Theres alot to love about this place. I stayed at the self catering studio apartment. Pros: neat and modern look , undercover parkings( small but atleast its there), nicly layed out resort, alot pools, kids pool area very nice. Cons: the restaurants needs better selections, prices are to high, rooms need maybe a table to eat on, tv is a smart tv yet cannot connect to room wifi for YouTube or netflex, pools should be heated as not everyday is hot. The main restaurant was closed for renovations which made it harder for food options and no discount was given to the accommodation as this impacts the stay which is why it losses a star just for this. Its a average place in my view, just bring your bug spray and mosquito plug and spray, its needed trust me

After checking in there was no help,the resort is big and we had to find out way at night. Our room was also not cleaned the following morning and the reception staff member was arrogant
The views were stunning! The staff were friendly and helpful. However, I have to be honest, it wasn't quite the wow experience I was hoping for. While everything was fine, it just didn't quite blow me away. I'd say it was good, but I'm not rushing to go back again anytime soon. Still, definitely worth it for the scenery alone!

It's a gem, however it lacks some fundamentals. Accommodation is good, clean and very comfortable. There is a big flaw, Service. The areas are not serviced by waiters so getting any refreshments takes a serious walk. Kids entertainment non existent except for pool area, other events all cost money. This resort lacks an entertainment manager. The Acacia Table Restaurant was fantastic. The resort seriously lacked atmosphere and vibe, a thing that kept items very boring. Value, too much cost, for very little value.

Beautiful family resort. The units are very spacious n modern, and well maintained. The pool and activity areas are lovely and well maintained, loads of entertainment and amenities for the kids including a movie being screened under the stairs. The only negative is the lack of service at the beach bar and beer fridges not working. Lack of shaded areas around the pool was also not very pleasant. A beautiful time with families apart from the above.

We loved our stay at the Kingdom Resort! It was stunningly beautiful, extremely clean, and the friendliest/ most helpful staff. The rooms were generously sized (we stayed in two different self-catering family units - due to a mix up on our part). We loved all the swimming pool options and the restaurants were great. We did the rare game drive, which was also very interesting due to the knowledgeable guide. We had easy access to Sun City and Pilanesberg from there. There is a small shopping centre close by where we went for groceries and petrol.

the bathroom was really nice and well put together. It had a clean, fresh feel to it, and I could tell a lot of thought went into the design. The fixtures were modern, and everything looked spotless. Made the whole stay a bit more comfortable and relaxing, which is always appreciated

Die im Vorfeld geäußerten Wünsche hinsichtlich Etage und zweier nebeneinander gelegener Zimmer (2 Zimmer wurden reserviert) wurden nicht erfüllt. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und gut.

We stayed here for 2 nights on arrival into the Pilanesberg area. Check in was easy, the rooms nicely decorated and comfortable. Grounds are well maintained. Beware, there is no assistance with luggage. Only 1 restaurant/cafe open due to maintenance which had a reasonably priced menu. The shuttle to Sun City must be booked, although they over book this so make sure you are early for your pick up or you’ll be waiting until the next round (around 45mins in our experience). Would recommend the resort for Families (kids seemed to be having a ball in the water park and pool areas) & those who have a car.

second visit using The Holiday Club points. The rooms are very large, new fixtures, should be more than what you wpuld expect, but our unit had a plastic cover over a portion of the roof and still it leaked like a seive when it rained.

The resort is very nice and good for relaxation when resting. Loved the nature around the resort. The villas are spacious and neatly put to give privacy with the private patio. There is enough entertainment that caters to both kids and adults on the resort. In overall I do recommend it as a good first option than staying at Sun City hotels due to the value for money and the set up for the rooms makes you feel like you have your own home from home. Loved it.

Our recent stay here was really lovely. Rooms are stunning and you really don't need to go anywhere as there are activities on site, 2 restaurants, a convenience store, a spa, waterslides , swimming pools. The slides were under maintenance during our visit but will definitely return so that the kids can enjoy it. No regrets. We actually extended our stay.

Our room was clean, however very dated. The pillows were like a bag of oranges to sleep on. Lounge and pillows haven't been replaced since it was built? I booked a 2 bedroom villa to use the outdoors , the table and chairs were unsafe and unusable as were the two pool lounges . If this apartment is privately owned , the owners need to spend some money making it worth the money we spent to stay there. Stay somewhere else.

10/10 accommodation. Highly recommend. Our villa was cleaned to the tee. We were very comfortable and all amenities were provided. We did not get to use much of the facilities due to rain however we are looking forward to coming back soon.

Room, I have never seen such cleanliness. I came from suncity and our room was spotless. Thank you so much for making a beautiful experience for my family. The warm pool was the highlight for my kids, we even left suncity early because all they wanted was the pool and the pizza from your restaurant. The free shuttle service to suncity was my highlight one less thing to do. Thank you so much. Money well spent.

Room i in good condiotion but they dont provide drinking water from day two. ACTUALLY we suffered thirsty since we arrived a bit late and the restaurant where you can buy water was closed. Since I booked via Booking.com, there was no option for breakfast only to learn this hapens in their official website. The wifi is pathetic. You can rely on it for work
I got there yesterday and I must state my dissatisfaction on the kitchen/restaurant staff. We had a whole experience where we ordered drinks and waited a while to be assisted. They kept playing around. Then this morning at breakfast, finished my food waiting for eggs, which I kept following up time and again. Also, our coffees took forever to be done. I sense they do this because there’s no manager on site. Can this issue please be resolved so that we do not experience this again as we are leaving on Sunday. Having to wait for eggs and coffee. I heard a mom with a son walking out complaining about the same issue. They were all over the place, yet no one took us serious. Otherwise the place is nice and cosy
Everything was great. Staff friendly. Facilities clean, food delicious, beautiful views, fun activities and rides. Loved that they have different swimming facilities. I felt close to nature sounds of animals and all. Loved it wouldn't mind going back

Ein wunderbare Platz, um mal für ein paar Tage auszuspannen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Lage der Unterkunft sehr gut. Was will man mehr? Wir kommen sicher noch einmal wieder!
It looks all nice and would be a nice holiday for a family, the facilities etc are family like. The rooms look good but the most important is a good night's rest. Here is where they fail. We know South Africans like a hard bed, but this resort managed to find beds harder than hard. Certainly not up to international standards and it is almost impossible to get a good night's rest for international tourists. If you let the staff know, then they don't know what to do and start defending, instead of dealing with it. The reception supervisor was better, once he came over, he got someone to deal with it. Their solution is to put a blanket underneath??? Really... that's barely better... a resort like this cannot afford a matrass topper... Even better, maybe revise your beds to international standards and train your staff in what do if something is not up to scratch.
